At Shree Saibaba Ship Breaking Co. we believe that the safety of each employee is the responsibility of the individual as well as of the whole community of employees.
We always committed to safeguard the occupational health & safety to minimize occupational risks of our employees, customers and people at our yards as well as in the nearby area.
As a member of the people of our earth, we are always committed to safeguard the environment of our earth. In this regard, Special care is taken for non-spillage of the oil into the ocean, bilge water, asbestos handling and other hazardous materials and wastage. All Environmental rules and regulations are strictly followed by us.
All practicable and necessary steps are taken to minimize the accident, injury and death at works including the procurement use of best available Personal Protection Equipments (PPEs ) i.e. Helmet, Mask, Hand Gloves, Safety Shoes, Goggles, Boiler suits, etc.). Regular training, education and awareness are providing to the workers to keep them upgraded in best interest of organization and industry.
Basic Fire fighting equipments are installed at site by our organization such as Fire Pump Set, Fire Bucket Stands, Fire extinguishers, Foam, etc. Also, the Fire Brigade of Gujarat Maritime Board is available for help round the clock in case of need.
All workers and staff members working on the yard are given comprehensive personal protective equipment (PPE) and other amenities like:
- Certified machinery for safety of workers
- First-aid facility at more than three strategic locations
- International standard and certified emergency gears including:
- Dust Control Mask
- Hand Gloves and safety Helmets
- Eye protection gear of safety spects and goggles
- Safety belt and Safety nets for working at height
- Apposite collection, storage and disposal of waste and effluents.
- Pleasant working atmosphere with tea/coffee breaks , sanitized rest rooms, change room for workers obliged to work in vertical position
- Hygiene and pure drinking water facilities
